The short version

We collect what the app needs to help your family care for a parent: medications, appointments, photos of documents, family contacts and alerts.
We use it only to run Agentier. We don't show ads, we don't sell your data, and the app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.
Caretakers in the same family circle can see that circle's information. The parent can see what is shared.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@agentierai.com.

Who we are

Agentier ("we", "us") makes the Agentier iPhone app and runs agentierai.com. The app helps adult children and other family caretakers look after an aging parent. It has two views: a caretaker view, used by family members who sign in, and a simple parent view on the parent's phone.

Agentier is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It is not a replacement for a doctor, a pharmacist or emergency services.

How accounts work

Caretakers sign in with their email address. We email a one-time sign-in code; there is no password to store.
The parent's phone is paired, not an account. A caretaker creates a short pairing code (valid for 15 minutes), and the parent's phone uses it to connect to the family circle. The phone then holds a device token so the parent never needs a password. A caretaker can unpair the phone at any time, which stops that token from working.
A family circle is one parent plus the caretakers who look after them. Caretakers join a circle by invite code from someone already in it.

What we collect

Caretaker detailsYour email address, the name and relationship you enter (for example "Priya, daughter"), an optional phone number, and your language setting.

Parent detailsThe parent's name as the family enters it, their language, their chosen helper voice, and the circle's time zone.

Medications and dosesMedication names, what they are for, dose, pill color, schedule times, pill counts and notes that the family enters, plus a record of when each dose was marked taken and by whom.

AppointmentsTitle, doctor or person, place, date and time, who is driving, and any questions or notes.

Photos and documentsPhotos taken with "What is this?" on the parent's phone, or uploaded by a caretaker: letters, bills, pill bottles and similar. We store the photo and the summary we produce from it (what it is, any amount or due date, a to-do, and whether it looks like a scam).

Activity and alertsEvents such as a pill taken or missed, "I need help" pressed, a scam caught, low pills, or a phone paired, and whether a caretaker has resolved them. We also record when the parent's phone last opened the app.

Family contactsThe names, relationships and phone numbers of caretakers that appear on the parent's "Call family" buttons.

Device informationA name for the paired parent phone, device tokens used to sign the app in, and push notification tokens so we can send alerts.

Website waitlistIf you join the waitlist on agentierai.com, we store your email address, which form you used, the country your request came from, and the date.

We do not collect location, contacts from your address book, microphone recordings, health data from Apple Health, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

To show the parent's screen and the caretaker view, and to keep them in sync.
To send push notifications to caretakers, for example when a pill is missed, "I need help" is pressed, a scam is caught or pills are running low.
To read photos with "What is this?" and explain them in plain words.
To read text aloud in the parent's language with the helper voice.
To keep the service secure, fix problems and answer support requests.
To email waitlist members about Agentier's launch.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it or share it for others' marketing, and we do not use it to build profiles about you.

Who processes your information

We use a small number of service providers to run Agentier. They process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us.

SupabaseOur database, sign-in and file storage (Postgres, United States region). All app data and stored photos live here.

Our serverOur own application server receives requests from the app, applies the family circle's permissions, and talks to the providers below.

Anthropic (Claude)When a photo is taken with "What is this?" or a document is uploaded, we send the image to Anthropic's Claude to read it and write the summary and the spoken explanation.

Voice providersText that the helper speaks is turned into audio by Kokoro, a voice model we host ourselves, or by Sarvam AI for Indian languages (Hindi and Tamil). For Vietnamese, the audio is made on the phone by iOS. We store generated audio so the same sentence doesn't have to be made twice.

Apple and Expo push servicesPush notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Apple Push Notification service using your device's push token.

CloudflareHosts agentierai.com and stores the website waitlist.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Who can see what

Caretakers in a family circle can see that circle's information: medications and doses, appointments, documents and their photos, alerts, family members and paired devices.
The parent sees their own screen: today's pills, the next appointment, their family's call buttons, and the answers to their "What is this?" photos. Agentier is designed as help, not surveillance, and the parent can see what is shared with the family.
People outside the circle cannot see the circle's information. The app never reads the database directly; every request goes through our server, which checks that you belong to the circle.

Security

Information travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Stored photos are private and are shown in the app through links that expire after one hour. API keys for our AI and voice providers are kept on our server and never ship in the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your family's information and to keep access to a minimum.

How long we keep it

We keep a circle's information for as long as the circle is in use, so the family can look back at medications, appointments and documents. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it from our database and storage, apart from anything we must keep by law. Backups roll over and are removed on their normal schedule.

Deleting your data and your choices

Delete your data: email hello@agentierai.com from the address you sign in with and tell us what to delete: your caretaker account, or an entire family circle. We will confirm when it's done. Deleting your account in the app is coming soon.
In the app, caretakers can already delete documents, remove medications and appointments, remove family members, and unpair the parent's phone.
Notifications: you can turn push notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
Access or correction: email us and we'll send you a copy of your information or correct it.
Waitlist: email us to be removed from the waitlist.

Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or move your information. Email us and we will honor them.

Children

Agentier is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell caretakers in the app or by email before it takes effect.
